Katy Perry's praise for the song Runaway via a blog post brought the singer additional recognition. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard within her loft and being intrigued by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to pursue music solely for fun or to aid in growth but rather, she should pursue it. To achieve this, she began writing songs that were her own creations. As well as Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother had told her the songs she wrote were not meant to be famous for her, rather to help individuals to recognize the value of themselves and their impact on our world at large, she started singing them in public. When she was six she started playing the piano. At age nine, she was writing music. Her family didn't know until the age of fourteen. Aurora's success was never her dream. She just loves to write songs. For her, the music she composes is the way that she feels anything.
